Appropriate Attire

- Don't tuck the legs of your bee suit inside your wellingtons. It makes a more effective seal if they go over your boots because it presents a smoother, more continuous surface to the bees. (David Stott)

- Wearing a baseball cap underneath your bee suit not only provides shade on hot summer days, but helps to keep your veil well away from your face. It also gives an extra layer of protection over your scalp if your hair is pulled back into a ponytail or should you be going a little thin on top. (Sarah Davis)

- Periodically replace the elastic in the wrist and ankle cuffs of your beesuit. (Tim Foden)
