Apiary Meetings
> Introduction

Warwick & Leamington Beekeepers has its teaching apiary in Bubbenhall, which is run by our Apiary Manager.

The purpose of the apiary is provide novices with basic practical instruction in handling a hive of bees and to demonstrate to all members commonly required beekeeping "manipulations".

Unlike most private apiaries, the production of honey takes second place to the demonstration of beekeeping best practice.

Whilst the apiary is primarily for those who are members of W & L Beekeepers, members of the public are welcome to join the sessions in order to experience beekeeping.  Spare beesuits are available for this purpose.  It would be helpful if you could forewarn our Apiary Manager of your intention to come to a meeting.

The activities at each session will be those normally required for the time of year and are very weather dependent. Please click this link for planned meeting dates
